New Desk!! And a Mean Boss

I found it!

I have found and bought the following corner desk.



It's HUGE!! 1.4 metres by 1.4! And apparently has the following features;

# Anaheim double corner workstation
# Raised monitor shelf ensures the work area is kept free from clutter
# Sliding keyboard shelf for ease of use
# Left hand pedestal with deep drawer
# Right hand pedestal with CPU storage area and CD storage

I won't go into the details of the phone calls I went through to buy it, but suffice to say I was a bitch, and they probably hate me.

a) The price on the website was wrong (£93) and they told me it would have to be £95 - told them they are legally obligated to sell it for the price it's displayed so they did
b) The price doesn't include delivery (10% of order value) or VAT - wasn't happy
c) The final price they quoted me was wrong - calculated it myself and it came out lower, rang them back, they matched it
d) Delivery in 5-10 days - made a fuss about needing it by Saturday because the entire family is going on holiday. Bit of a white lie but I'm not paying that much and waiting all that time. Plus would need someone to help assemble it, and the family are going on holidays next monday.

So yeah, got there in the end, but feel a bit mean. Hopefully will be worth it all!

Catalogue launch today in work. Busy busy busy! Met my new boss. The store's top dog. I've been working there for 8 weeks and only now I meet him?!

He is the most arrogant, patronising boss I've ever had to work for. He says he get's results, but at this very moment in time the only result he's gonna get from me is me handing in my notice. Fuming. He inisists on everyone carrying a radio which is fair enough, but to try and give me a bollocking over the radio which everyone can here because I got boxed in trying to reach an item in the stockroom because of shitty store layout that is under his control is not on.

We shall see how it goes.
